தேர்வறையில் மாட்டிக் கொண்ட மாணவன்

2 பத்தாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள்  தேர்வுக்கு தயாராகிக் கொண்டிருந்தனர். அடுத்தநாள் அவர்களுக்கு ஆங்கிலத் தேர்வு. இரண்டு பேருக்கும் ஆங்கிலம் கொஞ்சம் வராது Esay கடைக்குச் சென்று மணி ஜெராக்ஸ் எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருந்தனர். காப்பி அடிப்பதற்காக. மறுநாள் இருவரும் தேர்வுக்கு சென்றனர். இருவரும் ஒரே அறையில் வந்தனர். அவர்களின் நேரம் பார்த்து தூங்குமூஞ்சி ஆசிரியர் அங்கே வந்திருந்தார். காலையில் வந்தவுடன் கேள்வித்தாளை தந்துவிட்டு தூங்கி விட்டார். ஒரு மாணவன் மினி ஜெராக்ஸ் Esay வை எடுத்து எழுதிவிட்டு மற்றொரு மாணவனுக்கு தரலாம் என்று நினைத்தான் .அதையே செய்தார்கள் .ஒரு மாணவன் mini ஜெராக்ஸ் பார்த்து 
Esay vai எழுதிவிட்டு எழுதிவிட்டான் .ஒரு மணி நேரம் கழித்து  மற்றொரு மாணவனிடம் esay vai கொடுத்தான் .அப்பொழுது அந்த ஆசிரியர் ரெஸ்ட் ரூம் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்றும் மற்றொரு ஆசிரியர் வரச்சொன்னார் .வந்த ஆசிரியரோ மிகவும் கண்டிப்பான ஆசிரியர் ஸ்ட்டு ஆபீஸர். அவரிடம் இன்னொரு மாணவன் மாட்டிக்கொண்டான். அவனைப் பாதியிலேயே வெளியேறி விட்டார்.

கபிலன் ஊர் திருவிழாவிற்கு மாலையில் சென்றிருந்தான். கபிலன்  வீட்டிலிருந்து திருவிழா நடக்கும் கோவிலுக்கு ஒரு கிலோ தூரம் இருக்கும். அவன் அங்கே சென்று சாமி கும்பிட்டு விட்டு திருவிழாவைப் சுற்றிப் பார்த்துவிட்டு இருந்தான். இரவு மணி 8 ஆனது வீட்டுக்கு போகலாம் என்று நினைத்தான். இன்று இரவு நாடகம் போடுவார்கள் அதையும் சரி பார்த்து விட்டு போகலாம் என்று நினைத்தான். நாடகம் முடியும் மணி 12 ஆனது நான் கோவிலில் இருந்து வீட்டுக்கு கிளம்பினான்.நான் வீட்டுக்கு போக முடியும் இரண்டு வழிகள். முதல் வழி நேராக வீட்டுக்கு செல்வது.இரண்டாம் வழி சுடுகாடு வழி செல்வது. அவன் சுடுகாடு சுற்றி வீடு செல்லலாம் என்று நினைத்தான். அவ்வாறு செல்லும்போது சுடுகாட்டில் ஆ ஊ பயங்கரமான சத்தம் கேட்டது .அங்கு ஏதோ வெள்ளை கலர் ஆவி சுற்றுவதும் பார்த்தான். இரவில் வீட்டுக்கு சென்று படுத்து தூங்கி விட்டான். மறுநாள் காலை முதல் அவன் ஆ ஊ ஊ  என்று கத்த ஆரம்பித்து விட்டான்.அவனுக்கும் பேய் பிடித்துவிட்டது.  கதையின் முடிவு இரவு நேரத்தில் யாரும் சுடுகாட்டுப் பக்கம் செல்லக் கூடாது

He went on a trip and left without going
